This is always the Indian place I recommend to my friends! The staff is super friendly and amazing, truly. And the food is so delicious. It isn’t the fanciest place, but it’s definitely a place to talk with friends and hang out, definitely recommend! Our naan came out less than what the owner expected(not that it looked bad to us at all, it looked great) and so he gave us two, one on the house!

We went with high expectations, but were ultimately a bit underwhelmed by the overall facility. We ordered the mango lassi and the chicken tikka biryani. The lassi was fantastic, but the biryani was just average. On the bright side, the portion sizes are quite generous for the price. My main critique is the restroom situation: there is only one available, and for some reason it is kept locked. You have to ask for the key at the counter and lock it again on your way back, which is quite inconvenient.

I can't just stop myself from writing this review, omg eating their mutton biryani I'm in heaven right now. I usually don't eat mutton but I once came to their restaurant because we stay right opposite and thought of trying as this is one of the best indian foods downtown and guess what I started not only liking mutton after eating but i also started cooking (Ofcourse the taste is not same) and increase my love towards it. Honestly, I should really appreciate the chef who's making it, it's soo soo soo good. Please teach me that recipe!!!! I agree sometime it could go wrong, but when you have it fresh and tender pieces omg!! Can't express. I haven't tasted or i don't think will taste the same biryani anywhere. Girl in the reception is also so helpful, she understands what i need and gets the same. Thanks, one request please teach me the recipe.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We tried Charminar Biryani House in downtown Detroit and it was fantastic. The chicken tikka masala was absolutely delicious—rich, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The aloo chaat was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten and is a must-try if you visit. The customer service was also excellent. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Between the amazing food and great service, this was an easy 5-star experience. We’ll definitely be back!

Was very pleasantly surprised with the food especially with due to it being so reasonably priced compared to a lot of places in downtown Detroit. My chicken was great and the mango lassi I got was fantastic as well. Definitely recommend it if you're looking for a nice indian food spot. The only qualm I have is the ambience and I maybe won't recommend it for a date night but definitely a go-go for well priced delicious food !
